Master Ornament Designer Mario Tare brings the traditions of the old world and combines a fanciful personality to bring us a new line in holiday hand made glass ornaments called Bellissimo.

First bitten by the desire to inspire at the early age of 5, Mario Tare recalls with the excitement of a child, his thrill in winning a bag filled with toys from a local TV station that was hosting a Children’s Art competition in his native Chile. That initial excitement became the northern star that directed Mario’s future career choices. Even after submitting to his pleading father’s persistence that he study architecture instead of fine arts, Mario could not deny his innate desire to create inspiring designs by using his God-given artistic talents. With this in mind, Mario set his sights on the bright lights of New York City.

After moving to the United States in 1985, Mario was employed as a jewelry designer and model maker. For almost eleven years, Mario honed his design skills and learned the delicate intricacies of crafting fine jewelry. His experience would serve him well as he developed and mastered the skill of bringing his two-dimensional designs to life in full detail. In time Mario was recruited by Kurt S. Adler, Inc. to design a variety of products for numerous lines, including the new Bellissimo collectible glass line. By tirelessly focusing on market trends and innovative design techniques, Mario’s designs ensure that each collection created is worthy of the Bellissimo name.

Mario says: “I have been honored to contribute to the Bellissimo collection and I am grateful that my childhood dreams of coming to America have far surpassed what I could have ever imagined. It is a privilege to work with the team of dedicated and talented designers. Every day is a new adventure, and each design offers a new opportunity to bring magic and holiday memories to life. I am thankful that I get to draw and design for al living and it’s a humbling experience for which I am extremely grateful.”
