Stillwater, Minnesota has a rich history as a lumber town during the 1800s. During the boom, the train station and nearby warehouses were busy moving timber to the outer reaches of the country.  Passenger trains came and went on a regular basis.  One way of preserving the history is to use the buildings from the lumber trade for new purposes.  Today, eateries, inns and coffee shops welcome visitors to Stillwater, to enjoy a wonderful day or evening by the river.  For a cup of locally roasted coffee, or handcrafted coffee drink, stop into the Coffee Station.  Warm up near the fireplace of the former waiting area, where passengers of yesteryear waited eagerly for their train.
